Valentines Day Elopement | Chicago, IL

Kristina and Henry chose the most romantic way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, by getting married. Their morning began with a 9:30 a.m. appointment at Chicago City Hall, where we joined other couples sharing that same bright, joyful energy as they legalize their love. After their intimate ceremony, we wandered through some of Chicago’s most iconic backdrops: the timeless marquee of the Chicago Theatre, the striking architecture of the Wrigley Building, and the scenic Riverwalk. We wrapped up this part of the day with a quick Red Line ride over to Lincoln Park, capturing candid moments and city views.

Next, we stopped for a quick coffee (and, of course, a coffee-shop photo op) at Sweet Water Coffee Co. before making our way to the Lincoln Park Conservatory. The Conservatory had just launched its Spring in Bloom series on Valentine’s Day, so we were among the first to enjoy the seasonal floral displays after sharing intimate private vows in the Orchid Room.

Up next, we headed to Delilah’s, their favorite bar in the city, for drinks and a relaxed hangout. Delilah’s is especially meaningful to them because when Henry proposed, Kristina was wearing a Delilah’s shirt, so the bar has become a cornerstone of their relationship. To finish the day, we stopped at Sheffield’s and photographed at the very table where they had their first date. It was a deeply personal, memorable session, and I’m so honored to have documented every moment of it.
